For Scandia Gear, we are exclusively looking for a Product Owner to play a key role in their digital transformation. Not a classic IT role, but a position where you make the difference by driving business value, making choices and bringing people along.
The organisation
Scandia Gear is an international player in workwear and personal protective equipment for the maritime and offshore sector. The organisation is developing rapidly and investing heavily in digitalisation from e-commerce and CRM to supply chain and ERP.
You will join an organisation where a lot is happening and where your role is essential to provide structure, priority and direction.
The challenge
Scandia Gear is in the midst of a broad digital transformation, with commercial and operational processes becoming increasingly intertwined. Consider topics such as pricing, customer segmentation, inventory management and order fulfillment.
You ensure that these ambitions do not remain stuck in plans, but are translated into concrete improvements that add real value.
Your role
As Product Owner, you are the link between strategy and implementation. You bring overview, set priorities and ensure that initiatives actually land in the organisation.
Specifically, you will:
- One integrated backlog managed across CRM, ERP, PIM and digital commerce, among others
- Setting priorities based on business value (across commercial and supply chain processes)
- Collecting needs from stakeholders and translating them into clear requirements
- Steers for the right choices and manages expectations within the organisation
- Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to achieve concrete deliverables
- Validates deliverables and ensures they actually add value
In doing so, you will work closely with the Digital Innovation Lead and a business analyst, among others, so that you maintain focus on direction, prioritisation and stakeholder management.

What we are looking for
You are someone who keeps an overview, dares to make choices and gets people on board.
In addition, you bring:
- HBO/WO working and thinking level
- Approximately 4-6 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar
- Experience with both commercial and operational processes
- Affinity with CRM and ERP environments (functional)
- Strong skills in stakeholder management and requirements analysis
Experience in a trading, distribution or logistics environment is a plus.
Employment conditions
- A gross annual salary indication of around €62,000 to €68,000, including 8% holiday pay and based on full-time
- Bonus and pension scheme
- 25 holidays (with possibility of additional pay)
- Travel allowance (€0.23/km)
- Hybrid working possible (based in Spijkenisse)
- Bicycle lease plan and access to a gym
