Osiris Functional Administrator
Osiris is up and running. Now it needs to work for the people using it.
Last year, HMC switched from Magister to Osiris. It was a significant change, but it is also a system the organisation is still learning to work with on a daily basis.
Processes are still being developed, working methods are being refined, and users are sometimes still finding their feet in the new environment. That is why we are looking for a Functional Administrator who looks beyond incidents and settings – someone who understands how systems, processes and users are interconnected.
What will you do?
As an Osiris Functional Administrator, you are responsible for the management, support and further optimisation of the student information system.
You’ll help users with their queries and issues, analyse processes and contribute ideas for improvements. In doing so, you’ll liaise frequently with team leaders, lecturers, the student administration team and your colleagues in IT.

This role is not just about administration. Osiris is relatively new within the organisation, which means there is still plenty of scope to further professionalise processes and provide better support to users. You will have the opportunity to influence the way in which educational processes are organised and supported digitally.
This sometimes requires providing explanations, sometimes analysing the situation, and sometimes critically questioning existing practices.
The team
You will be joining a small IT department (11 colleagues) with short lines of communication.
As well as the service desk, network management and information security, you will work alongside colleagues responsible for other educational applications, integrations and data exchange with organisations such as DUO.
We use Topdesk for reports and changes.
What do you bring?
You have experience as a Functional Administrator or Functional Application Administrator and enjoy bridging the gap between users and technology.

- Experience in the functional management of business-critical applications
- Interest in processes and user adoption
- Strong communication skills
- An interest in education or similar administrative environments
- Knowledge of authorisations, privacy and information security is an advantage
- Salary in accordance with scale 7;
- 8% holiday pay;
