Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller for Baas Verkley who can work independently and take charge of the financial administration. Someone who not only checks the figures, but also brings structure to the process, improves procedures and ensures that the figures are reliable and complete.

Baas Verkley operates in the technical infrastructure sector and works on projects that form the foundation of the Netherlands. These include underground infrastructure, above-ground networks and the energy transition. It is a dynamic environment in which finance plays a key role.

This is a role for a senior finance professional with extensive experience. If you have a background in accountancy and are looking to make the move into the corporate sector, this could be an excellent next step.

Your impact

As a Financial Controller at Baas Verkley, you’re the numbers expert who brings clarity. You lay a solid foundation that everyone can rely on: clear figures and a balanced sheet that adds up. You’re responsible for producing robust annual accounts, ensuring smooth consolidations and keeping a tight rein on tax matters. No hassle, just clarity.

You keep a tight rein on our financial position and spot any discrepancies before they raise questions. Consolidations? You’ll take care of them. Taxes such as VAT and corporation tax? You know what’s going on and ensure everything is in order. Together with colleagues, accountants and external parties, you’ll maintain an overview and ensure we remain financially sound. Do you spot areas where things could be done better or more efficiently? You’ll take them on and get to work on them!

Your characteristics

• You have a higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree in Finance, Business Economics or Accountancy
• Extensive experience in a financial role, for example as a financial controller or accountant
• Experienced in consolidation, balance sheet management and projects
• Consolidation software and ERP systems are your basic tools
• You understand how the balance sheet works and keep a close eye on working capital and project positions
• Fluent in Dutch and English
