Financial Controller at Generali Participations Netherlands N.V.
As a Financial Controller at Generali Participations Netherlands N.V. (GPN), you will have a wide range of responsibilities. Thanks to your extensive knowledge and experience as a Financial Controller, GPN will give you plenty of scope and freedom to shape your role as you see fit. You will also have the opportunity to specialise further in certain areas.
What will you do?
The role of Financial Controller is highly varied, and you will therefore have a wide-ranging remit. You will play an active part in both financial reporting and the development of new analyses to provide the various stakeholders with even greater insight.
In addition, you will contribute to the further development of the Accounting & Reporting department at Generali Participations Netherlands N.V. (“GPN”), a Netherlands-based investment company within the Generali Group, and various holding and financing companies under its management. You will be primarily responsible for the following tasks (for one or more of the companies managed by GPN):
• The regular flow of financial reports;
• Preparing the annual accounts and successfully completing the statutory audits;
• Drawing up budgets and long-term plans;
• Carrying out investment analyses;
• Planning and organising your work to ensure that reports are delivered on time, accurately and in full;
• Contribute to various projects aimed at further developing the internal reporting process;
• Analysing new developments in the financial sector and translating these into management information;
You will carry out your work in close collaboration with the various specialists within our team and within the international Generali organisation.
You will be part of the Accounting and Reporting team, which currently consists of 10 people, including the Assistant Manager A&R, to whom you will report.

You’ll be joining a close-knit and informal organisation comprising a total of 27 people, with a pleasant working environment and a strong sense of camaraderie. In addition to financial controllers, the GPN team includes, amongst others, lawyers, corporate finance specialists, corporate risk specialists and tax specialists.

In addition, you will have:
• At least higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking;
• At least five years’ experience in a similar role;
• Knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS and Dutch GAAP is essential;
• Good advisory skills and the ability to explain (complex) issues clearly at various levels, in both Dutch and English;

What we offer:
- €4,900 – €7,900 gross per month, based on a 38-hour working week.
- Holiday pay and 13th month’s salary.
- Average-earnings pension with no personal contribution.
- 26 days’ holiday + 2 company holidays. .
- Flexible working hours and hybrid working (2 days in the office!).

- There is also the option of working 32 or 36 hours a week.
